Rake Calculations

This section provides you a chart of 3 things a poker site will use to determine how much MGR (What is MGR?) is attributed to you and hence how much rakeback you will be paid.

1. The Contributed or Dealt Method (What are these methods?)

2. Whether or not bonuses are deducted from your MGR. (Always take the sign-up bonuses and reloads. They are always a good deal - even if the poker site deducts the bonus.)

3. Whether or not tournament fees count towards your MGR.

US Players Only

The Poker Site Dealt or Contributed Method? Are Bonuses Deducted? Do Tournament Fees Count Towards MGR?
Bodog Contributed Yes No
Cake Poker Dealt Yes Yes
Doyles Room Contributed No Yes
Full Tilt Dealt Yes Yes

Non US Players

The Poker Site Dealt or Contributed Method? Are Bonuses Deducted? Do Tournament Fees Count Towards MGR?
Bodog Contributed Yes No
Cake Poker Dealt Yes Yes
Doyle's Room Contributed No Yes
Full Tilt Dealt Yes Yes
Inter Poker Dealt No Yes

Full Tilt also deducts 3-7% for deposit fees, 0.005 for every Full Tilt point you spend and the average overlay on tournaments and freerolls. For example, a 1k freeroll with 1k players Full Tilt will charge a player $1. Since players make 27% rakeback this would cost a player 27 cents.

Cake Poker does not charge the overlays on tournaments and freerolls but does charge for deposit fees and Gold Card Daily Lottery Award, Gold Card 500 winnings or Similar promotions and purchases from Cake Shop.
